At BU, the first course all students take is UNV101, an extension of student orientation that was created by the BU Instructional Design team to switch from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. The course focuses on developing the habits of a successful student, managing time and stress, and getting connected to the BU community.

Every student gets a dedicated Student Success Coach from day one through graduation; they answer questions and check in to make sure everything is going smoothly.
Academic Consultants are individuals who are also attending BU or who recently graduated and partner with students who have similar career paths, interests, and goals.
BU is dedicated to helping students from day one and beyond. Our Career Advisors are here to help you land your dream job; they provide personal support that includes resume preparation, interviewing best practices, and connections with employers.

Starting a new school can be nerve-wracking, especially when a program is entirely online. At BU, we foster online learning environments that are flexible and supportive and that help students accelerate and retain knowledge.
